Interior and Exterior

Once inside, it is easy to understand the priorities of the Audi TT Roadster. The driver-oriented cockpit offers contemporary design and the finest materials such as Leather Alcantara® Sport Seats.

The TT Roadster sport seats with pronounced side bolsters feature Alcantara® seat inserts. The performance-oriented suede-like Alcantara® material provides increased grip for both driver and passenger during spirited driving. The race-inspired, lightweight, magnesium, three-spoke, leather-wrapped design has a performance look and feel, and features shift paddles for quick gear changes. The multifunction steering provides easy access to MMI®-inspired control logic for CD, radio, navigation and voice control functions. The interior touches are anchored with Brushed Aluminum inlays throughout the cockpit.

The Audi TT Roadster is designed around the singular principle of pure driving passion. The twin aluminum trimmed rollover bars combined with the iconic silhouette mean it can only be one car: The TT Roadster. From the front, the TT Roadster creates a distinctive entrance with its dramatic, available Audi xenon plus headlights. Along the side, the sleek mirror housings reveals integrated LED turn signals. At the rear, progressive design leaves its mark on the taillights. The retractable rear spoiler automatically extends at 75 MPH and retracts at 50 MPH. This aerodynamics-enhancing feature of the TT can also be operated manually up to speeds of 75 MPH.

Performance and Technology

The TT offers a number of innovative, state-of-the-art technologies that not only increase performance, but also deliver increased efficiency. One of these innovative features includes the Audi Magnetic Ride. This optional technology utilizes a special magnetically charged fluid whose viscosity continuously adapts to driving dynamics and can be controlled electromagnetically allowing for two different damping modes: "Normal" or "Sport." The highly efficient 2.0 TFSI® with direct injection technology does the remarkable by producing 200 horsepower and providing great fuel efficiency with an estimated 29 MPG highway for the TT  with quattro® all-wheel drive.
 

The S tronic® automatic transmission in the TTS enables rapid-fire shifts, thanks to a dual-clutch system. Shifts can be engaged either through the shift lever on the console or by Aluminum Optic shift paddles located behind the steering wheel at the nine and three o’clock positions. Additionally, there are two automatic driving mode options, “Normal” and “Sport”, which allows the driver to further customize their drive. Audi launch control optimizes acceleration from a standstill. 

Safety

The Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP®) allows your Audi to maximize control in adverse conditions or when the car is at its handling limit. By employing a number of safety systems including ABS [Anti-Lock Braking], EBS [Electronic Brake-force Distribution, EDL [Electronic Differential Lock, and ASR [Traction Control] in a fraction of a second, your TT intuitively helps to maintain control. This system also offers “Sport” mode and “ESP off” mode.

The TT utilizes a number of active and passive safety systems to help avoid emergency situations, all working toward one goal: Your safety. It, TT Roadster, features standard full-size dual-threshold airbags as well as seat-mounted head and chest side airbags and knee airbags for both driver and front passenger. The Audi TT Roadster is also equipped with aluminum trimmed roll bars. Styled after classic open cockpit racecars, the safety-engineered aluminum trimmed roll bars help to protect the head in the event of a rollover.

The TT Coupe offers the innovative brake disc wiping system that works to improve braking in wet conditions by automatically pulsing the brakes to dissipate water build up, allowing the brake discs to stay as dry as possible.

Luxury and Technology

Although the Audi TT delivers premium performance, it also delivers unrestrained luxury. The optional DVD-based Audi Navigation features a full-color, six-and-one-quarter-inch LCD screen and MMI®-inspired control logic for AM/FM radio and SIRIUS® Satellite radio functions. Also included are two SD® card slots for your MP3 music and the option of a six-CD changer or iPod® interface. Audi Navigation plus comes standard with SIRIUS® Satellite Radio and an available three month subscription to the SIRIUS® Satellite Radio.

The optional Audi music interface offers intelligent integration with the iPod®. Any iPod® generation four or higher [iPod®, iPod® nano, iPod® photo] may be connected through the glove box, and full iPod® controls are available through the MMI® screen.
